I was on my way to the range today to sight-in my Opitma. I have been using 777 pellets for years and was afraid that I would not have enough for a days shooting. I could not find them anywhere near my home. A friend who was going with me said there was a place on the way that had some. Wrong, as he had IMR's White Hots. He said they would increase the pressure and velocity and probably be shooting a little higher. I bought a box but did not need to shoot any with them.
Any opinions ?

I'm sure they will work O.K., not on my rotation though. The real deal is to school up for loose powder, Blackhorn 209 1st, then loose 777, after that one of the other choices, Pyrodex or so. If you really want to evaluate try a few different types with a chronograph.
