Why is that. Something about that model you don't like.I personally would not give $500 for a White-Lightning rifle. If in great shape with a scope that works, maybe $350-375.
retail on that rifle was probably only about $350 new.Why is that. Something about that model you don't like.

What sdporter said. Beware of the myrtle wood stock. They have a history of breaking at the wrist area.retail on that rifle was probably only about $350 new.
Seen them selling on GB for that much and more depending on the model… the scope alone is worth some $$I personally would not give $500 for a White-Lightning rifle. If in great shape with a scope that works, maybe $350-375.
Not sure why you have to modify the stock like that. I have those mounts with no interference.
If they just hadn't used the cheap Myrtle wood stock! Otherwise I agree! The White Lightning was an SG Series rifle with a one piece barrel and receiver. Barrel length was 23". It was manufactured to try to capture the lower price point market while still retaining the White quality. If I remember correctly, the price was around $300. I bought one new back in the late 90s and it shot as good as any of the other Whites that I have or have had. Nice little rifle to carry or use in a blind/treestand.
