I've searched but haven't found much about White 54 caliber rifle loads, especially for larger than deer size game. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe go to the source. Last I read, Doc White is still around.
Maybe someone can post his email address, or PM you his phone number.

When I had my 54 cal bison, I shot a 510 grn conical from a custom mold from Accurate Molds. 80 grn of Swiss FFG. I also used a wool wad over powder. Very accurate.

I shoot the No Excuses .54 cal., 525 grain conical out of my White Bison. I use a wool wad and Swiss 2F powder. You should be able to find a charge between 70-to 90 grains that will give you good accuracy.

Thanks for the replies.

I was surprised how economical (72 cents each, for 100 with shipping) the No Excuses 54 525 grain bullets are.

Speer 50cal 325gr HP
However much powder you need to make it shoot good
:p

That is a seriously good bullet if you can find them. Pretty popular bullet from 50A&E to 50 Beowulf speeds. AA was using them in the Beowulf ammo for years at 1800+ fps but they perform fine at much slower speeds too. It was made for 50A&E which is like 1300-1500fps.

Just nasty
