I know 2 ppl that shoot Alco Bullets exclusively out of their SML’s. They love those bullets. And the price isn’t bad either, comparatively.Has anyone ever heard of, seen, or used this bullet company? They sure look tempting...View attachment 22575View attachment 22574
Don't hit bone......with that aluminum tip will they mushroom on a deer or just make a nice clean hole in and out with minimal shock value ?
Those bullets have a thin .020 copper jacket and they have a swaged lead core.I wonder if there practice or bonded for hunting...?
Don't hit bone......
I went on Alco's site & read the FAQ page & everything about how their bullets are made. I had read all that stuff 3 yrs ago when I first heard of them.Meaning what?
Hitting bone will open up the animal really bad, such as a shoulder shot would ruin at minimum one complete shoulder.forgive my ignorance , but i don't smell what you're cooking there . can you elaborate for me please ?
thanks , jeff
Great idea, I'd find that interesting to learn myself.IIRC it might have been ALCO that made Pittmans early on. Kyle said the guy screwed him and was selling his bullets. Used Kyles dies or whatever and sold bullets on the side. Then when Kyle wanted his stuff back there was some other issue.
Not 100% sure if it was ALCO but anyone on Hanks can ask Kyle if its the same guy.
