This is a living, tranquilized, grizzly bear. I love this picture. Thought I should share.

They are tagging the bear for tracking. That paw is as big as my whole head. Those claws are fearsome things.

Some of it is an old photography 'trick'. Her arms are extended putting the paw much closer to the camera making it look larger. Our eyes perceive it as being in the same plane as her head.

We all do the same thing when we take a photo of a big fish or deer.

Yes, but her hands are close to the camera too. They look small compared to the paw.

It's an old fishing trick to make the fish look bigger.

"Yes, but her hands 'fingers' are close to the camera too. They look small compared to the paw."
You don't see her hands, just her fingers. Women can also have very small hands.

I think it is a big paw but not near as big as her head and shoulders as shown in the photo.

I looked for a full bear shot. I discovered that this bear was actually hunted
and taken in Alaska. The original post was incorrect.

There was an additional pic. It was a ruler with the paw. It looked to be 9.5
inches across if set just above the woman's fingers. Might be as big as 10
inches. The fur made it hard to know for certain.

The photo angle comments are correct to a point. Angle and proximity does
impact the view. The woman is also small frame.

But, this was still a big bear and I still like the picture.
