Yes, there was some discussion here when they announced. I have been looking and have yet to see any available anywhere.

Availability can be an issue with any new product. I’m on the east coast and we just started seeing the 290’s at retailers last year.

I’ll definitely be trying some to see how they shoot whenever I can get some.

I agree, I’d like to see them in .45. I think .50 is a much bigger market though. I can’t wait for Thor to bring out a .45.

I believe Hornady said the ELD-X is designed for 1:28 or faster.

I think we would need more information on the rifle you're shooting and which black powder you have in mind in order to make a recommendation.

I like the Eld-x line of bullets use them in my 6.5
I asked Hornady if they had any intention of doing a 40 cal and they said it depends on the market
now this bullet is a lot like the CVA bullet but I hope they use a jacket on theirs and not coat them like CVA does

I doubt they’ll be enough of a .40 market in the foreseeable future. Hoping to see a .45 some day not too many years away. Yes the Hornadys are jacketed.
