That was the plan before buying the handgun, but after shooting it and doing some woods walks with it. It became apparent that my vision was long past using a handgun for hunting. Especially, with a 4" sight radius. I'll just be using the Optima for hunting, and with a scope at that. I bought the TH stock, so I would stay with a scope. It's not even drilled for open sights.
