Thanks Lewis.
I never thought of that. Sounds like a valid point. I'll lay of the torch tip cleaner.

id stick with the firing a couple of caps prior to the hunt, maybe even a blank load with 10 grains of powder and a paper towel wad.

I always like to make sure my nipple and chamber is BONE dry, no oil whatsoever possibility before firing. Dry gas on a patch seems to do that well. and then let it air out for a few.

This happened to my old Black Diamond. Took a while, but it happened.

WIERD? Must of been a Soft, Flawwed Hammer?

I’d place a LARGE bet that when i am done with this 9,000 CCi’s That my Hammers will look just as Good as they Did before they Hit them ;)

I see that you use regular CCI #11's, and not the magnum. Any particular reason for that?

The striker was a bit odd. It just bothered me that they split across the face. Up the sides? No issue. But that face should stay intact.
But that Black Diamond had a striker fall like a slamming car door.

They are Magnums, you just aren‘t seeing the little Red “Magnum” under CCi, There are a Few tins of Regular #11s in here as well, But the VAST majority are Magnum. Straight #11s work just as well With Real Blackpowder, I can’t tell ANY difference? Ignition is IMMEDIATE with Both
