Maybe you can offer an affordable SS and/or aluminum Knight base while you are at it. I would actually be happy with a steel 3 hole/2 slot rear base and a 2 slot front base. Picatinny width grooves please. All the bases for Knights blow biscuits except the Murphy and not all of us got over $100 to blow on a base.

$30 for a rail..Hello. knock knock....anyone there?

Here is the issue boss man. With Warnes steel bases you cant move the scope further forward to accommodate longer eye relief scopes very well. This Vortex is a 4" eye relief which i love for MLs. Plus we got that lonely little screw hole in back. Now ive seen the slightly extended bases for Rem700 before. Seriously, Leupold sells the Back Country rails for around $70MSRP and if they had one for a Knight i bet they would sell. Just a better 2 piece set in steel would be a huge improvement over what is available.

Every single steel 2 piece i can find are short like these Warnes. Not one of them accepts picatinny rings. Extended bases and 2 picatinny slots for the win. Plus 5 screws to hold them down.

I have 3 from Lehigh, I received about 3-4 years ago. 0, 10 & 20moa.
I also have 2 from EGW ($39).
All 1-piece based and they all work just fine.
If I recall, Lehigh & EGW are family friends and close in proximity. Doubt either wishes to tarnish the relationship.

EGW is not full cross slots and they do not offer a heavy duty for Knights. Its made from 6061 also just like Leupold Rifleman bases you can get for peanuts.

EGW wants $70 for a HD 7075 like this but they dont sell one for Knights

I got a Lehigh Knight base too. THEY DONT SELL THEM. That is the entire point of my post. EGW sells Contender bases too soooooooo it aint no big deal is it? You can buy a Back Country for around $30-40 online. Sure beats the heck out of what EGW offers IF they made them for a Knight.

We did offer them and they did not sell so we discontinued them. We can look at it again in the future as maybe with the SSK website we will have more visibility? I think the Lehigh name is associated with bullets and ammo and it made it hard to market the firearms products; hopefully the SSK name will be more synonymous with the firearm side.

Thanks

Like i said, it dont even have to be a rail. I would be thrilled with a 2 piece STEEL or SS.
3 holes in back base and 2-3 picatinny slots
2 holes in front base with 2 possibly 3 picatinny slots. One being more forward like on the rail you made.

A 2 piece set like that would cover a huge number of scopes and add strength too. Front base could be reversed if someone needed but i cant imagine why. There is nothing like it on the market.

I think the initial lack of interest might have been because a rail seems more specialized and its tall. I had to use low rings to get my scope down. Even then its taller than medium rings on Warnes bases. I think a 2 piece steel set as described would fill the void without looking too tactical or target oriented. It solves the lack of room for scope placement for at least a 4" relief scope, maybe even longer.

Here is a Omega scope with 5" moved as far forward as i dare. I hate even having it this close to the turret. Its still not comfortable to shoulder.

Compared with your base and a 4" relief scope. Looks like there is plenty of room even for scopes like the long relief Nikons and Bushnells.

So basically this in a 2 piece steel or SS set
