There's something about some rifles. My Firehawk is my best EVER, but my Renegade has proven to be quite the hoot.
This one broke my flintlock jinx! Never thought that would happen. Even though she has bore issues, my 3 rounders at 50 yards are 1 1/2 inches or less with increasing consistency. Group overlap is resulting in frequent hole cutting. That's very encouraging!
I'm no longer seeing cut patches, and ramming has noticeable smoothed/ evened out. I'm grateful for this.
As handling puts a shine on the stock finish, it's exposing some very nice grain. I'm confident enough now to take her for a walk come our flintlock season.
Can not wait!

The TC Renegades and Hawken’s (Set Trigger Models) are my ABSOLUTE Favorite Muzzleloaders, I would take either of them over ANY other Muzzleloader Made. A High Quality, Match Grade Barrel Fitted in a Hawken, Or Renegade is as good as gets in my Humble opinion, they Don’t “Break the Bank” to own. In the Right hands, And Setup properly, they will SCARE THE DAYLIGHTS out of ANY inline Made ;)

Lewis sometimes you really get me to thinking . Doc White too . I LOVE old stuff . Ive got an old SxS shotgun(1915) that blue book said was about worthless so i decided to transform it into my grouse gun . Actually garbage picked it !!! Now VERY custom and VERY light it is . Magic in my hands . Almost alive !!!
I often think about doing a "back to the future" sidelock that keeps dancing around in my mind . A blend of old and new . A hunter like no other !!! You ever get these notions ?? Yea it may look odd to some but a thing of beauty to me . Kinda like a gibbs but yet very different . Didnt mean to go off track --- just curious.......

I'm with Lewis on the O'le T/C Renegades and Hawken rifles. . .they just stand the test of time. I favor the Hawken over the Renegade, but that is merely a stock issue basically. I have three T/C sidelocks in my safe that I plan to accurize, but I think I may sell the others to help fund my projects - LOL.

A Renegade is the only BP muzzleloader that I have left, and it will not be leaving my possession until my daughter inherits it!

I Love my Renegade!! I owe a lot of thanks to IdahoLewis in helping me learn how to maintain it, set it up properly and ensure it will fire on the first shot! His Youtube videos are invaluable!!!

Now if I can only get a deer to cooperate this year.
