my gunsmith said he can no longer fiddle with trigger pulls due to insurance. i called cva and they were very helpful. said to pack up the action and send it to them. i will let you know how it turns out. 3.5-5lb. would be fine with me.

with a dremel tool i have removed a 1/4'' of the release lever for the barrel. took a little longer than i planned as it was steel but now it protrudes forward from the trigger guard maybe 3/16''. a little cold blue and it looks better than original. i plan to trim it more after hunting season...

so maybe in post #39 i should have said consistancy, not accuracy. say your most accurate shooting load may be 100 gr by volume . and then the density of the powder changes and now 100 gr by volume is not your most accurate load. i think the weight of the original 100 gr by volume will always...

i guess i have a hard time believing volume is more accurate. it's a chemical reaction and energy from a chemical reaction is calculated by the weight of the materials[which translates into number of molecules] in the reaction. if volume was consistant,like gasoline volume would be accurate but...
