Best way to measure BH 209

OK. I figured volumetrically was fine for hunting, I meant to say is there a better powder measure than what I am using. I have seen or read that the available units might not be precise enough, with variances in weight by 5 grains or more. Thanks for responding! 8)

I have a TC U- View that measures to 120 grains, but I read how some of these methods are not precise. Is there a better way?

    Trigger work

Well, I tried taking apart my Encore myself. Bad move. I took it to my gunsmith, Dave Klotz, of DaMar Gunsmithing, and he stoned all the surfaces and slicked her up nice. It used to break around 4 lbs., but now it breaks at 2.75 lbs. He did me a solid by not charging me. I have taken him home...

Has T/C really dwindled that bad?

After a few technical difficulties with my Encore Pro Hunter receiver, I took it to my gunsmith, and he said I have one of the last true T/C Encores. At a big box store event, the manager, who is also my friend, said the exact same thing, and wouldn't recommend a new TC to anyone. I have heard...

What kind of time do I have?

After I shoot some Blackhorn 209, what kind of time frame do I have for cleaning? With Pyrode, it seemed like you had a few hours only, with triple 7, you had a few days if need be. With the nature of this new powder, I am not sure what to do.

    The bullet aligner

Is the barnes Bullet alignment tool necessary, or a marketing ploy? One of the reasons I was considering a new ramrod was to have the alignment tool, but if it isn't necessary, I can spend money on other necessities.

    Backup plan

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/ ... ?a=1845063 Here is a gem for a good price. What is the experience with one of these beasts? As I shopped the Knight website, why in the blue devil is the .52 significantly less money than a .50? Is there a real advantage to a .52? Could this DISC...

    Backup plan

Guys, I am looking into a backup muzzleloader. Keeping it mainstream and from the big 3 (CVA, TC, Traditions) iam wondering what avenue to go. the break barrel option is the most obvious, but I am most concerned about the "wiggle" associated with them. I have been a TC guy since the Black...

    Range trip w/ BH 209

Cayuga- Ignition was quick and thorough! Plenty of smoke to make it pretty, or maybe it just hung there because of humidity. it had plenty of felt wallop as well. Muskrat30- what is a lane tube? I may have flinched even,so no real determination has been done, until I get my other accesories...
