Anybody Kill A Deer With A BP Pistol

I have a Traditions 50 cal black powder pistol. I'm gonna kill a deer with it next year. Anybody have load recommendations. Shot should be inside 40 yards. I'm thinking Pyrodex or possibly T7 and a conicle or round ball. What do ya got?

I had the same hope for this season but it didn't pan out for me. I have a CVA mountain pistol in 50 cal. Out to 25 yards, it's dead on. My load is 30 grains of 3f Swiss under a .018 cotton pillow ticking patch and a .490 ball.
I might beef up my powder charge to 35 grains. I think a well placed shot at 20 yards or less will kill a deer no problem.

Here ya go, I bought a Twin to this Pistol from Willfish4fud, he had 2 of them. He killed a Doe with 25 Grains of Triple 7 from his .45 TC Patriot
