I don't know, I kind of get it. I'm a bit of a minimalist and I like the idea of having one lower with a trigger I know like the back of my hand and several uppers for different hunting. That's one reason I used to love the NEF rifles. The only issue I have with the ML upper is the price.

It really isn’t much different than Mossberg making a ML barrel that went on the model 500 pump shotgun.
Hopefully someday, when we all drive(pilot?) flying cars and shoot laser guns, someone will build a ML attachment for one of those, too.

Pretty sure it will fit all the 500s since it doesnt feed a shell. But i never tried to put it on anything but a 12ga. Good luck finding one. There aren't many out there.
Not entirely crazy. one company has made a crossbow upper for AR’s so why not a muzzleloader.
