BH 209 breechplug in Cva Optima

So just wondering if you can use a BH 209 breechplug in Cva Optima with 777 to improve ignition reliability? Don't own one yet but it's on the shortlist.

As long as you do not use pellets it sure won't hurt.

Thanks guys. Never did use pellets. May give it a try when I get the new gun. Will post an update when I try it out

Triple7 loose ignites just fine using the OEM plug. If you want the hottest flame to your powder the Lehigh CVA BH209 plug should be better. The length of the flash channel is shorter and the plug cost about the same as the other options.

I bought the CVA black horn 209 plug for my accura. I can’t imagine it being efficient with the stock plug. Its really evident in the flash hole opening that they want the loose powder down in there and as close to the primer as possible.

If i were shooting loose t7 in my cva i would stay with the oem plug and the ml specific 209s. To minimize the crud ring potential.
