The question is simple...has anyone played around with cast bullets in a Paramount? Maybe paper patched bullets? With the 1:22 twist rate it should be able to handle a relatively wide range of bullets.
I'd be very interested in anyone's experience along these lines! Thanks!

I don’t own a Paramount, but won 4 of 5 year NMLRA Silhouette National (200-500yd) with a 1:24 twist original rifle, using a 500gr PP bullet.
Put the same load in a Knight 1:20 (before the Paramount) and did very well.
You should have no issues.

what kind of wood is that
It's a laminated stock...slabs of individually stained wood laminated together with some sort of adhesive and pressure then cut into a stock blank and then hand and machine fashioned into what you see here. Beautiful and very stable. It won't shrink and swell like natural wood does with temperature and humidity swings and obviously much better looking than any synthetic or composite stock.

Yes, I cast my own.
You can also buy very good swaged bullets for PP from Buffalo Arms in various weights and diameters.
I’ve seen many at Friendship shoot them and win.
