Had some luck yesterday antelope hunting and shot this buck with my .54 Leman at 127 yards. My load was a .530 ball/ .018 patch over 90gr of FF Swiss. A special shoutout to my long-time hunting buddy who’s always ready to hit the road at a moment’s notice!

I’m sure everyone has a different opinion on range. The ball didn’t have much deformity at 127 yards and I believe I was at my personal limit for how far I’d shoot. Not sure how much steam that ball has left going farther than that. That being said, I hit where I aimed and he dropped at the shot. Antelope are a little easier to kill than elk or deer in my experience.
