.....as far as robins are concerned. This is the second Piebald Robin I have seen in our yard in the last few years. Lots of white on this guy.

Many years ago We had a Robin show up on our place with a weird looking Top notch thing on it’s head?? Almost like a Quail. I seen it several times so it was obviously nesting close by, one day i had a chance to look it over really good with my 12 Power Binocular’s, I am 99% sure it was a Cockle Burr? We had those things bad in certain areas on the Wa coast, they were fairly large, about the size of a Cherry. That Robin sported that the whole Summer :lol:

The old adage that robins need snow on their tail 3 times before spring arrives seems to be holding true here this year. We've still got as much snow, some of it darned deep too, as we have bare ground.
 
Hang in there Tom, spring will pop soon. Its slow coming here in north central Indiana too.
