Caught this one today. I decided to keep it to eat for a change. Caught a 40" yesterday that I put back. This one is 39" and little over
17 pounds . Looks like she was dining on frogs

I was always under the impression that frogs burried themselves in mud, and hibernated like turtles. I figured that pike must have been excavating for its dinner.

Now I did some reading, and apparently the frogs don’t burrow into the mud like turtles. Hmmm… I didn’t know, what I didn’t know!

No ice here now but I did get the boat out for some perch..ended up with 20 of em
