Reason I ask I have a landowner that doesn't want to pay for a processor, so I have been working up any deer I kill there. He doesn't get all of the meat, I keep some choice cuts.
Another landowner will share the cost of processing if I can't do it.
Oh i misunderstood you. My neighbor and his father in law do all that, themselves. $130 locally for a standard cut and packaging. A lot of farmers and handy fella's around so most just do it themselves. I used to, but can afford to pay for mine and wife prefers that i not do it here.
 
Well told. I love to hunt in the snow as well. Hoping to take my daughter out for the last weekend here in N IL. She will be using her Traditions Youth Buckstalker. Saturday is shaping up at the moment to be perfect weather-wise- a bit of snow and cold temps. That should get them moving. She has only gotten a button buck this year with the crossbow and would like to add a big doe or of course a nice buck.
