Tried some Swiss 3f, 70 gr under a 320gr Lee REAL in my Black Diamond XR .50 and got my first success with full calibers in an inline! Shot them at 50 yards , it was a windy day, and got groups in the 1- 1 1/4 inch range for 3 shots. There wasnt much difference in group size between swabbed rounds and unswabbed, but there was a 2 1/2 inch lower point of impact if I didnt swab between shots. Seems kinda odd... Anyway, lubed them with bore butter and got no leading and fouling was very light.Swiss powder is awesome stuff. Will try them at 100 and will chronograph too. Muzzleflash and blast are MOST impressive compared to my ususal Triple 7 loads. I'm thinking of using an overpowder wad to see if accuracy improves any. I have some old sabots that dont work too well in my rifles and I was thinking of cutting the petals off and using them. You sinker shooters out there, do you use wads and if so do they improve accuracy? Thanks!
