DJ_Brutus furnished this Maker Rex 275g, a 0.451 bullet

The bullet was shot into those bottles. The rifle was 25 yard from the bottles. The charge was 50 grain Blackhorn powder.

The front bottle wasn't damaged much. Kinda just a hole through. The top half of the second bottle was blown high in the sky, so high it never came down. The third, and fourth bottle sustained significant damage. The fifth, and sixth bottle were holed through. The bullet bounced off the phone book, and was found just behind the horse on the ground.

Little light on expansion, isn’t it? Do you think more BH would have opened those petals?

Thanks Ron. Had similar results with my own test. Not good at long range/low velocity (however people want to interpret it). Appreciate the test!

Not really much rifling engraved into that bullet either. Yeah, need to push the charge up a bunch...IMO heck you could shoot that one again.
