From first bottle to muzzle is 25 yard. Powder charge is 80 grain Blackhorn.

Bullet destroyed the first two bottles, went through the third bottle, bounced off the fourth bottle, and flew into the snow near the front of the horse.

Please, everyone, never state the powder charge without also stating grains or volume. This is especially important with a potent powder like Blackhorn 209.

I thought it would have lost more weight. I would say cut back to maybe 60gr of BH209.
Might be a good youth load bullet.
Hopefully, the word is getting around more and more that the softer a bullet is, the less actual jacket it may have, the increasing amount and type of powder that is pushing it, the closer the target's range is, and the larger/deeper its hollowpoint is -- the more it will mushroom.
So yes, this soft and large-HP bullet would be good at lesser ranges like 25-75 yds. with a lighter powder charge, for youth, small adult, injured shoulder, etc.
