More Information On Gonic Rifles

>50 caliber Gonic rifles are said to have a tight bore..499, I bought a Lee bullet mold .501, I bought a sizer.500.I loaded up with 70 grains(per volume) 3FBP. I greased the bullet and had to beat it down the bore. Plenty of recoil Mista! So dumb ass does it twice more, bent the crap out of my steel range rod. Even a Nit Wit can learn! Dial calipers say .482-3, no wonder they went down so hard. I'm leaving for a hog hunt Monday, guess I'll take a flintlock! My advice check your bore, even grove to grove is less than .499 in my GA-87.

I went to the pile and grabbed a model 93 .50 mag I tried the bullet and I think it will work. I will shoot it tomorrow. I mounted a scope and bore sighted itI've been doing this since 1973 and I'm still learning!
