I had my first misfire today. In the end I believe it was a bad Primer. It did push the charge out but just barely. I shoot BH209 and use Winchester 209's. It sounded like a dud. Are there any better primers out there. BH209 does require a hot primer. I just don't want to have that happen on a deer of a lifetime.

The vast majority of the time i hear this, the plug was not properly cleaned or the plug is marginal in terms of BH209 compatibility. LHR made 2 plugs for the Redemption, a pellet plug and loose powder plug.

Which do you have and are you cleaning the flash channel with the correct size drill bit?

Did you get this plug when you bought your Redemption because the standard plug is not recommended for BH209?

If you have this plug you have the wrong one for BH209.

I have both adapters, pellet and loose. They both have a flash channel and a smaller flash hole though the loose powder adapter's falsh hole isn't as long as the pellet version.
