you'll want N110 for your 250 gr. xtp's. 38 to 40 gr. will do great. I haven't tried the 300 xtp's with N120 yet ,but that load is next on my list. I plan to try some 55gr. loads and 57 gr. loads You shouldn't need anymore than that.

I these loads won't work for you both the 250's and 300 XTP's shot great with 5744.

JD, I currently use 5744, just curious about the N110 and N120. Let me know about the N120 and 300 . I would appreciate it. Rick

The 300gr. Barnes MZ with 55-60gr. of N120, RW .033" vent liner and Win209 primer has been my most accurate load and I have tried a ton of powder/bullet/sabot combos. The 250gr. Barnes MZ with 40-42gr of N110 has also given me good groups. Every gun is different but my Savage 10-ML-2 definitely prefers the MZs over the SSTs, XTPs, Barnes Spitfires, Barnes Originals or Winchester Platinum Tips. Since every gun is unique the only way to find your pet load is to do some tinkering on the range.

If you are looking for load suggestions this message board is the right place to look.

I use 65grs. of VV n120,with a Shock wave 250gr. and a MMP sabot. It stays under an inch @ 100yds. Runs about 2255fps. I sighted the rifle in to hit 1.2 inches high at 50yds,that puts it dead on at 150yds. It is 4.6 inches low at 200 yards. This works out well for me as you can aim pretty much dead on until you get out past 250yds. Ron :D
