new guy needs help....

I am looking to get back into the in-line game. I shoot flinters and cap locks. I had a inline a few years back and sold it. So the bug has came back and I got a used T/C Black Diamond. From a trusted guy. Gun is in great shape. Now need some help with loads, sabots, etc. Anyone with some insights with this gun let me know.

I got a used T/C Black Diamond

Really an EXCELLENT muzzleloader! I had one several years back and man would that sucker SHOOT! An EASY shooting accurate load would be a .429 240gr XTP in a green MMP sabot with two Triple Se7en/Pyrodex pellets. That load shot 1 inch groups for me at 100 yards. You could also substitute 100gr Pyrodex RS or 80-100gr ffg Triple Se7en for the pellets but I got SUPER accuracy with the pellets. I'd probably also give a 200gr and 250gr Shockwave a try. I don't really see a need to try anything else.
