Looking for feedback on the Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x44 AO. I have a Leu. 6.5-20x40 AO VXIII but I have never owned a Nikon and was wondering how this might stack up to the Leu. It will go on my Sav. MLII 50 cal. if this makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

I have one on a tactical Savage (the illuminated mid-dot version) and I think it is a awsome scope and dare I say that I think it is better than the Leupold. For the money I certainly think it is. I like it so much I ordered another Nikon (the new Monarch 4-16 mildot for my Encore). The only advantage to the Leupold is a little better eyerelief and more MOA adjustment. But it gives up nothing opticaly. Eye releif is adequate for me with no problems.
