From first bottle to muzzle is 25 yard. Powder charge is 80 grain Blackhorn.

Bullet destroyed the first two bottles, went through the third bottle, bounced off the fourth bottle, and flew into the snow near the front of the horse.

cast boolit?
nicely done how well does it group at 100, have you tried it yet?
I thought it would have lost more weight. I would say cut back to maybe 60gr of BH209.The bullet held up better than i would have guessed.
It turned inside out!!!!I thought it would have lost more weight. I would say cut back to maybe 60gr of BH209.
Might be a good youth load bullet.
Please, everyone, never state the powder charge without also stating grains or volume. This is especially important with a potent powder like Blackhorn 209.View attachment 31827

Hopefully, the word is getting around more and more that the softer a bullet is, the less actual jacket it may have, the increasing amount and type of powder that is pushing it, the closer the target's range is, and the larger/deeper its hollowpoint is -- the more it will mushroom.I thought it would have lost more weight. I would say cut back to maybe 60gr of BH209.

Agree, not hard. Please, everyone, never state the powder charge without also stating grains or volume. This is especially important with a potent powder like Blackhorn 209.
