Primers were shot in June, except for 5 shot in July. Shot from 5 different Omega, and 2 different Ultra-Lite. Primers are CCI, Federal, and Winchester.
Bright, and shiny indicates most all the primer energy went to the powder.
Bright, and shiny indicates no blow by onto the scope, nor into the firing pin bushing.
All five Omega rifles used the same breech plug. The Bestill breech plug works in any Omega rifle. This Bestill breech plug makes for a perfect seal in any Omega rifle using CCI, or Federal primer. The Bestill plug has a couple nice features. The primer socket is deep; deep to support the primer. The flash hole is in a tungsten carbide bushing. It will never wear out for one burning mild Blackhorn loads.
The 50 Knight has a Lehigh breech plug. This rifle/plug requires one to measure the Winchester primers, and only use primers longer than 0.302". This keeps blow by at zero.
The 45 Knight has a Bestill two piece rear sealing breech plug. It uses CCI, and Federal primers; neither makes any blow by.
