quick view where to place ur shot ...the lung shot gives you lots of room ..no reason to shot into the shoulder and waste a lot of good meat .

Unless you are in an area where you need the animal to drop on the shot. Typically, a lng/heart shot will still allow the animal to cover some ground before it expires. I agree with you and 95% of my shots are behind the shoulder but occasionally, I want it down right now, and the high shoulder shot will do that.
 
I like to shoot in the top of the heart where it is surrounded by lung if I want to plant them and bleed them. It you have to take some shoulder to just make sure they do not run off, so be it.
