Speer 90gr SP for deer? With pics.

I shot this big prickle pig with my 243 with a 90gr speer sp over 42gr of h4350 that gets good reviews for deer but I wouldn’t recommend it. shot it head on the shoulder and one picture you can see it’s heart, when I took the photo it’s heart was pumping away and that lasted about ten minutes. So to me the the bullet exploded on impact with hardly any penetration. The shot was about fifty yards. I’m thinking the good reviews must of been a broad side shot and probably at a longer distance.

You can see from this picture the bullet didn’t pass through the animal. It’s hard to believe a 90 gr bullet going about 3k fps didn’t pass through an animal that size.
