Spring 2023, where are you hunting?

I'll be hunting the same place I deer hunt. Plenty of hens hanging around all the time. So I know there are gobblers close by. Went out just before dark with an owl call and got one to gobble at me. The pic is the last day of deer season.

This place is littered with the damn things. The flocks will come every day, including toms with beards dragging on the ground. I run the damn things off. They come up under my bird feeders and ship all over the place. NOPE! I've taken a few over the years but, I can't stand eating a wild bird. Oh yeah, I've had people tell me, "Cook it this way and you'll love it". Its like putting lipstick on a pig..............
Depending on where you're going to hunt, you should be successful in the north.

Every day if I or the wife don't run them off ..............

I like to make stews with wild turkey. They are very bland, so stews work great. Nice birds there ENCORE50A!
