off to the city where my surgery will be tomorrow. out patient surgery, will be back with all of you soon.

surgery repor. doctor said it was a larhe herniz and not a small one. was asleep about 4 hours. they worked hard to get the pain under control in recovery. they did and to be honest the pain never ever came back i dont like narcs anyways and motrin and tylenol are taking care of it. im walking better than ever because the hernia was putting so much pressure on my groin it made my left leg drag. i told my wife i felt like waling on the tred mill to day and she put the kibosh on that. have to wait a couple of day. as a comparison to gall bladder surgery, hernia is nothing. if any of you out their has a hernia, dont live with it anymore. find a good dr. and get it taken care of, stop living with it. im a new man and getting better. thanks for all the post to me about the surgery. your a great bunch of people.

P.S. my surgery was supposed to be early in the morning but their was a terrible trama  around that area that morning, most likely a bad car accident and as it should be the tree persons lives were very important to save. i got my surgery at 4 pm. it was a long day waiting. kari and i didnt know it but a member of out church who always sits in front of me one pew had the same problem. they got their surgery just ahead of me. hope and pray it is as painless as mine. it was a 135 mile drive back to the house last night and of course deer along the road all the way back. saw one really nice mule deer buck. glad we didnt hit any of them. one of my nurse said she lived on a small place just out side of town up against the bluffs. i asked her how the rattle snakes were. she said its their biggest problem every year. their dog got bit last summer but made it. almost lost its leg though. scotts bluff is a very beautiful area of ne. but it has one of the highest rattle snake population per sq. mile in the USA their is. my daughter camped out down their last summer and almost got bit, the snake missed her as it struck.my wife went tubing on the nibrara river last summer and a 6 footer swam right next to her tube. you could see in your mind my wife and the women with her screaming and going nuts. winter is warm enough so the niobara isnt froze at all and most likely wont be froze over this year. its really nice to be back and God bless you all.

I WISH YOU A QUICK AND FULL RECOVERY .

YOU HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR AND THAT AIDS IN RECOVERY!!!!
STATESIDE,PORT ORCHARD,WASHINGTON  , ABOUT 50 MILES FROM SOUTHERN VAN.ISLAND  JUST HAD A RARE AND TERRIBLE TORNADO....  I FEEL FOR THOSE FOLKS ,ESPECIALLY AT CHRISTMAS..
I BELIEVE M,OTHER NATURE IS ISSUING A FINAL NOTICE THAT WE BETTER ''CLEAN UP '' OUR ACTIVITIES........
OH YES. THE LIONS, a.k.a. CATAMOUNT,COUGAR, CY IS PITS PITS.   ABOUT 15 MINUTES NORTH OF HERE IN THE    NANOOSE BAY  AREA  ''NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC''  DID A LONG STUDY OF THE LIONS.....
SEEMS WE HAVE THE HIGHEST POPULATION OF THEM IN THE WORLD,HERE ON THE ISLAND.....
HIGHEST POPULATION FROM NORTH OF LADYSMITH  ,NORTH TO  COURTENAY...........
ALL THE TOWNS ON EAST SIDE OF ISLAND ARE RIGHT ON THE OCEAN WITH FORESTS BEHIND THEM.....LOTS OF BLACK TAIL DEER.......SIGHTINGS ARE SO COMMON IN TOWNS THAT UNLESS A ''STALK'' OR ATTACK TAKES PLACE, ITS JUST BUSINESS AS USUAL....... WHILE IN THE MOUNTAINS HUNTING,FISHING OR PROSPECTING, I HAVE SEEN EXACTLY 2 IN  ABOUT 40 YEARS....
I WONDER HOW MANY HAVE WATCHED ME......
BEARS ON THE OTHER HAND ARE EVERY WHERE.....JET BLACK,CALLED ''CAVE BEAR'' ARE A DISTINT
SUB SPECIES......THEY TOO ARE AGGRESSIVE.......
                                      CHEERS     GLENN

you are correct. those canadian bears you have are very aggressive. when they walk toward you they wont side step. can you carry a side arm where you are out and about? if i was up their and could carry it i would carry a ww2 infield .303. very fast bolt action and i would cut the barrel to 16 inches or what ever is allowed. like the jungle version, had one once and wish i never sold it. man is the sea food good where you are at though. the weather has to be changing if you get tornadoes up their has to be a first.all i ever saw was cool wet all the time. as to a sense of humor, i like to insert that every wheres. why not. more fun than being a grump all the time. just before i went to sleep for the surgery i told the nurses. remember, this is not a bilateral orkyectomy(sp) or a penis ectomy, i want to wake up with my package. they said how do you know those words? i said im a registered nurse also. they laughed. i said when they turned the medicine on to put me to sleep, wow im really getting looped, by by. i think the american town that looks at you is port townsend, or port angeles, something like that. thats a real forest up their. makes me want to go up their again hearing from you.

My brother goes to see a specialist on the 8th to fix his hernia. He felt more relaxed when I told him about you and said, If'n that ol man can do it, so can you :D

FRONTIER GANDER      some folks are just plain tough.......

WHILE I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION,  HERE IS A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A GREAT NEW YEAR TO,YOUR FAMILY AND YOURSELF.

frontiergander, tell him its a easy surgery with very little pain at all. im walking better after the surgery than before. my scrotom swelled up like a angus bull and turned black and blue. doesnt hurt though. him and his wife will laugh a lot about it. dont know why i waited so long to fix it. he will be glad to get his normal life back.

finally starting to come out the other side of this surgery. no longer looks like a angus bull down their. starting to feel less discomfort upon moving. been riding my exercise bike like nuts. doesnt bother it at all. men are never really aware of how their built down their until they get as big as a softball. even my two sons were laughing at me. had to be careful how i moved.

all the  best to you,Sir.
prayers sent for a speedy recovery.........guess we really never appreciate  good health until issues start to arise.
                                                   best regards,  glenn

i really feel i turned the corner to day. swelling going down, no pain and i walk a lot better.
