T/C Omega 45 cal

I have been trying to buy another Omega locally but the guy wasn’t budging on his price. I decided to check GB and found a nice T/C Omega 45 cal for the Buy It Now price of $250. Needless to say, it has found a new home. $302 total to my door, not as good a deal as I got on my 50cal Omega, but I’ll take it.

Does the 1:20 really shoot that much better than the 1:28?

It depends on what you shoot out of it really. One needs to shoot bullets suited to stabilize in the twist rate they have.
The 1:20 has deff earned its place in the modern muzzleloader hall of fame on & off of the competition field.

I believe that the 1 in 20 was only early guns.

This one is the 1:28 twist. The serial number is around 20000.

Still waiting on the new to me Omega to show up. The guy I was haggling with locally messaged me that he would take my offer on his 50cal Omega. Looks like I should have 2 new to me Omegas this week.

I believe everything is the same except the barrel.

I picked up my new to me 50 cal Omega Z5 and it has been shot very little. I was able to score some Barnes 250g Spitfire T-EZ bullets also on the way home. Hopefully, the new to me 45 cal Omega will make it here this week.

seems for the price and quality, vortex has replaced them in my book, maybe Nikon will delve back into rifle scopes one day.
