which nipple should i get for my T/C renegade? the selection is daunting...
also. has anybody had good luck finding a patch/load combo that will shoot well out of a .54 ? looking for a low velocity rabbit load.

1/4-28 stainless steel hot shot nipple. RMC sells them for around $4.00 and they last for ever.

A low velocity load is 50 grains of Pyrodex RS and a .018 lubed patch with a .530 ball. It will be accurate, no recoil, and does not fowl the barrel real bad or fast. Be sure to aim for the head. Even though there is only 50 grains of powder, it would kill a deer if you had to... I rabbit hunted a lot with my Renegades. They work really good.
