Need some help. Shot my scout pistol today. Shot 2, 348 gr. aerotip powerbelts, 60 gr. black mag powder and they made the two large, ragged holes shown above. Could they be tumbling? Dropped the powder charge to 50 gr., and the hole was a little less ragged. The round holes were made by Hornady 425 gr. great plains hollow point with 70 gr. of black mag. Should i try 405 gr. aerotip with 70 gr. or should i try 348 hollow point? Only problem is, the gun kicks wicked bad. BY THE WAY THESE WERE SHOT AT 25 YARDS

Can anyone suggest any other loads to try?

i do not see the pictures but when it looks like a tear or a ragged hole...say the tear is on the right hand side...try flipping the paper over and see if it is then on the left side......well shoot at the paper again and see if it is now on the left

if it changes sides then it is just the bullet tearing with the grain of the paper
