Howdy! I have been a traditional ML shooter for many years and know what to expect when shooting PRB in slow-twist barrels. I recently obtained a .50 cal. ML barrel with a 1:28" twist for my Knight KP1 rifle. I haven't shot it yet, but was curious about what sort of results can be expected shooting PRBs with a twist that fast. Anybody out there have that experience? Thanks guys!

Loaded light it may shoot well. When I have tried, 50 grains seems to be about the max for me.

I've loaded up my CVA Optima pistol, I think it's about the same rate of twist? With 60 grains of 3f Swiss black powder and a patched round ball. It shot pretty darn good at 50 yards.

Well, thank you all for your input! I greatly appreciate it. I will give your suggestions a try!

Hey Bert621, I haven't made it to the range yet, but hope to next week. I'll do my best to let you know what I find out.

Thanks for the link above, Okie Hog! Greatly appreciated!
