Ok I have a Shed full of Green Firewood.

My wife is thinking it might build up heat and catch fire like Hay.

Should she be concerned?

The Shed is enclosed so yes I see her concern but I have never heard of it catching fire.

yeah the only reason hay catches on fire is when its we, is because its starting to decompose. Im sure theres plenty of fancy words to describe it,but wood doesnt do it.

Wet wood is not like moisture over 20+% in baled hay and then stacked tightly together. Many a barn and a years work have gone up in flames, but never a wood pile.

the kind of coal from n.dak can catch fire by its self some times. sunflower seeds have to be quite dry or they can catch fire also. they really burn hard as they are full of oil. when i wet big round bale through out they get quite hot but no fire yet.oily rags are dangerous as they can start burning by them self also.

Well I went out to the shed. The Wood is doing something I have never seen. It is growing a Green Mold.

Strange very strange.
