With 44gr of 5744 and 42gr 5749 they are good performers. Pick a short black MMP or Harvester sabot.. both shoot well.

Here is a pic of JD's group last weekend.

His load was:
225 XPB
42gr 4759
Short MMP sabot
Federal 209A
Lam/Stainless stock 10ML-II
100 yds

Looking for a good low recoil load? Doesn't get much better than this! The same load with 5744 is a bit softer!

Yeah...that bullet is a great shooter in a LOT of rifles! It shoots good in the ULA .50 as well:

The BC isn't that great BUT...less than 150yds or so..who cares?

Yeah, if you are hunting from a stand or in brush, this load is optimal if you ask me. 2000-2100 fps and this load is quite capable of taking whitetail to hogs.. I witnessed JD smoke his Crossville porker with one of these 225's over 5744. The results were VERY impressive.

Yes he is... I am planning on using it as well but with 5744 unless these Parkers group with the same powdercharge.

My HB is dialed in with the 225's and seem to be interchangable at 100 yds with 275 XPB's and 300 XTP's as well.
