From muzzle to bottles is 25 yard. Powder charge is 50 grain Blackhorn

The bullet was caught by the sixth bottle, after passing through the carpet, plywood, and five bottles.

I wonder what the velocity was, also what about testing a heavier powder charge, still I would have thought there would have been some expansion.
 
Yeah looking at it beside the other test bullet its easier to make out the rifling marks in the sleeve. Still a shame it didn't open even a tiny bit.

Muzzle Velocity of that weight bullet and charge is around 1250fps.

I wonder what a Speer 270grn deep curl would mushroom like at that velocity just thinking of a light recoil short range deer anchor for a young shooter
 
Yes, i too liked the bullet performance, but also liked the fact Doug136Schwartz' children used the bullet.

What ever happened to Doug, haven’t seen him here in quite some time
