It seemed to work great with 80grvI wonder what the velocity was, also what about testing a heavier powder charge, still I would have thought there would have been some expansion.
Doesnt look like the bore loc sleeve even functioned
Probably on impact the sleeve was forced back.Doesnt look like the bore loc sleeve even functioned
Muzzle Velocity of that weight bullet and charge is around 1250fps.I wonder what the velocity was, also what about testing a heavier powder charge, still I would have thought there would have been some expansion.
I wonder what a Speer 270grn deep curl would mushroom like at that velocity just thinking of a light recoil short range deer anchor for a young shooterMuzzle Velocity of that weight bullet and charge is around 1250fps.
Have had great blood trails but all deer have been 60yrds or closer and broadside (complete pass thru). Also, with 100gr volume of Bh209 you're gonna feel it a little.looks like that would be great for full power loads

Based on your bullet tests, I really like the 185g tac-xp!Seems like a Barnes xpb, or tac-xp 185g, or 225g would work better, than the 270g Speer, with a low recoil load of 50, or 60 grain.
Yes, i too liked the bullet performance, but also liked the fact Doug136Schwartz' children used the bullet.Based on your bullet tests, I really like the 185g tac-xp!
I have not tried those I'll have to work on getting some
