Well if someone wouhld buy my shotgun I would buy one and then it would be my favorite but as it is I don't have one I shot black powder all my life but had to sell my stuff a few years ago now I want to get back to smoking again

I dont know which course Doc shoots 45-70 . He says that on his website articles . I figured someplace in Utah ,because he lives there in Roosevelt . I dont know if he still does or not still shoot in competition as he is in his 80's . Quite a guy . Still works on his mz's though !!!
Ps-- glad you can spell it , i tried !! Lol !!
Pss-- very thankfull for that BLL lube recipe too . Made all the difference in accuracy with a knurled oversized pp bullet with BLL on them with no paper . Learned of BLL here on MM .

Rifle is ready for Friendship , hope i can swing the trips expenses as my toy money is about dried up presently . Been an expensive year (cf switch rig) . This year looks no better with another complete build wanted (my 1st --bh209/sml/40) . Have a few to tweak too . We'll see......hopeing .
Must be be ones used for BPCR NRA Matches. We had one of those a while back for inlines at Friendship

I have to say it was my Knight disc Elite but the most accurate ML I have ever owned is my CVA ACCURA V2 the Elite was close but not quite as accurate as my CVA ACCURA V2. My favorite cal. Is .45cal my favorite side lock is the TC RENEGADE

It’s an older model Knight DISC that was in very good shape. Had to modify to accept the larger diameter barrel. Also cut the forend off 4”.
Very nicely done and a real beauty . Imo the most unique and exceptionally inovative custom ive Ever seen . Cant blame you at all for this one to be a favorite . Its one beautiful freight train !!!

Knight MK85 50 cal SS wrapped in a beautiful French Walnut stock with fleur and ribbon checkering and topped with a Leupold fixed 6X. If I can ever figure how to post photos, I will or if someone with puter sense wants to do it.

Interesting thread.

Im very interested in the specifics of this build . Did you have a thread on this build ?? Did you do it yourself ?? I have a older disc that will either be rebored or something possibly like this . Needless to say its Impressive kinda like a battle ships 16 inchers !!!

Yes, there is an old thread on here somewhere of the entire build.
I did it myself.
Thanks

Bill Knight - same Bill Knight I recall who understood how Black Powders were made inside & out?
Haven’t heard his name in well over a decade, maybe two.

That is one fancy stock on that mk85. I think I'd need to have another stock for shooting/hunting with it.

When you got a pretty one you REALLY tend to pay attention !!! I got shotguns i grouse hunt with -- believe you me , i KNOW !!!

Bill’s Knight, not Bill Knight. Sorry about the lazy typing.
Thanks CatamountRob for posting my MK 85 Photos. Also thanks for all the positive comments.

This is one of my gunstocks. I bought the blank about 35 years ago and used it to stock the Knight about 15 years ago. Since I didn't have a pattern, a band saw was used to cut out the basic profile and everything else was carved from the block. The most difficult job was drilling the ramrod channel. After that everything that didn't look like a gunstock was removed. Carol at Ahlman's did the checkering. Gunstocking has been a hobby for 50+ years so this was not a first effort. In fact, I wish I could have my first few back for fire wood.

Some real nice inlines in this thread. Several thinking out of the box projects. Interesting.
