I don't know if others have stated this forgive me if I'm being repetitive,,the Bruxs 45 Cal 1 and 20 twist barrels that Arrowhead and hankins and perhaps others offer to me represent one of the most practical smokeless and Black Horn builds that can be put together here in America,,the gun I'm showing a picture of and the group is from the first 1- 20 twist barrel that I brought from Luke at Arrowhead muzzleloading, I have four barrel nut Remington's the actions have not been blueprinted only the lugs lapped, all four guns will shoot just like this rifle does ,each bore has a little bit of different personality on load and bullet but with the right bullet they will all shoot like this,,this particular rifle will shoot the 300 grain arrow Max Pittman like this day in and day out literally into a hole I don't see what a shoulder build or a blueprinted rifle could offer me over this other than a thicker barrel for a lot heavier loads which I'm not interested in,, many of you out there looking for a hot rod muzzleloader find you a Remington action buy one of these barrels from Arrowhead or hankins have it headspace sit down and shoot it and you will be absolutely addicted you don't need to spend the three and four grand on a new rifle or a new-build complete.. the thought of a barrel nut anything I wouldn't even look at for a long time,, I'm grateful to Arrowhead and hankins and others.oh yeah in the picture is a six shot group the blackdot Is covering a hole it was my first shot of the seven yes it aggravated me
