54 caliber pelets in 50 caliber gun??

Hi,
I have a T/C encore in 50 caliber. My friend just sold a 54 caliber gun and gave me the pyrodex pellets he had. They are obviously for the 54 but since they do fit in the 50 caliber barrel would they work? I shoot 150 grains (3 pellets) and these are 60 a piece so I can drop my load a bit and just use two of these. Anyways, the question is will they work??

Yes, I was told they will work. And two of them would be a nice load in your rifle.
