Another Ramrod Question

I have an Accura with the Palm Saver on it. Are you guys carrying a loading jag and screwing that on the other end when reloading in the field?

This is what I use and keep in a zip bag in a pocket. Bullet jag is for the Barnes 250/290 T-EZ.

Also put witness marks, (tape), on your ramrod, one for empty & one for loaded.

I just unscrew the palm saver and use that end to load. I dont use pointed bullets hunting so it works well. Although it may work for those too. I could ditch the palmsaver knob and it wouldnt change a thing for me.

Does your ramrod have the extension where you unscrew the tip and it slides out a couple inches then has more threads to secure it out all the way?

I don't use the palm saver either. I also kinda buggered up the soft brass threads and it doesn't screw on anymore.

I dont tamp the powder. Except when im seating the bullet.

I took the palm saver off and leave my loading jag attached. When reloading I use ram rod as is then take my short starter ( with recessed hole in it ) from possibles bag to press the load down. Only takes a few seconds.
