This is a picture of my son Kyle just after shooting his first deer. It was about 6:00pm on 10/19/2006. He shot it with his T\C Pro Hunter at a lazered 93 yards. Deer dropped in it's tracks. This was his first deer hunt. For once he is upset that school is closed today because he cannot tell all his friends about it.

Congratulations to the young man and a fine deer it is!!! What kind of load did he work up for his hunt with the rifle? 93 yards and DRT that is some fine shooting. He has reason to want to go to school and brag..

Way to go! Both of ya.

Is he going to let you borrow that rifle occasionally?

Congratulations. What a great story. The pictures say it all. I'm looking forward to when I can take my son out for the first time. I'll have to wait a few years, he's only 2.
That's a mighty impressive shot to make on his first deer. I'm sure he'll never foget it. Now it's time for Dad to take a shot with that ProHunter!
Good Luck.

Mike

u spoilt him! :D my daddy wasnt ever into deer hunting, so i've always had to provide my own equipment. i still remember the first deer i took, too . . .

Thats a day you will never forget!!Both of you! You have just created a deer hunting monster! It will keep him out of trouble in the future!

dear Cayuga

I was hoping the rifle would shoot the 200 grain shock-waves accuately to keep the recoil down and it did. The load was 105 grains of 777 2f with a 200 grain shock wave. It grouped 3 shots into 1.02 inches at 100 yards. :D :D

Great job, congrats to your son on his first deer. and i agree that you are spoiling him. Starting him out with the t/c prohunter. I have two of my sons that killed their first deer last weekend on the youth hunt.(rifle) And for my 12 year old, it was his first deer hunt where he had the gun. I know he will remember it for ever as will I. Thats not cool that school is out and he couldnt tell all his freinds. I know my boys called everyone that they could think of to tell. Congrats again.

Good shooting

Kyle: that is a fine deer.. you can be proud! You're helping fill the freezer. that will help your family get through the winter just like the early frontiersman did.. carrying on a great American tradition... Les

Congatulations to both of you. I was in the stand with my son when he got his first deer three years ago. It was a great experience. I will never forget it. He was fourteen though. Your boy looks a little younger than that. It is a memory both of you will never forget!!!
