Over 25 years ago I bought an Oehler chrongraph. I've used the hell out of it and it is still going strong. A friend had a cheap err inexpensive one that worked very well. While they are fun to play around with they also tell one a great deal about loads and ballistics.

Thats the reason i bought them, if i want to upmygame, ive gotta know some things about my loads that only a chronograph can tell me.

I wanted the shields to fit in the case with everything else, so setup my table saw with a finish blade installed backward, and trimmed them down to chrony width & length. Cut some holes for the lenses in both.

So far, so good. 9 shots, 2 errors that im pretty sure were sabots but possibly the direct sunlight.
