I'm looking for some advice on a scope for my back-up muzzleloader. The scopes mentioned above all can be purchased for roughly the same cost in the 3x9x40 models. Which would you choose and why? Thanks in advance for your input!

I've been looking at ALOT of scopes lately too and have looked at all the ones you have listed here. My pick is the Sightron SII 3x9x42.

IMHO:

-Best glass of the bunch
-Best customer service/warranty
-Decent eye relief
-Most bang for the buck

Good luck with your choice...

From your list I only have experience with the Fullfield II and I am extremely pleased with this scope. Compared to a Nikon Buckmaster the Burris blows it away in eye relief and optical clarity. As an added bonus if you want a set of binos or compact spotter you can usually find the 3-9x ballistic plex Fullfield II packaged with the bino or spotter for well under $200.
