My first time shooting the 250gr .452 Hornady XTP in the CVA Apex .45 cal. This was also the first time using H4198 vs IMR4198. This would be a fun one to shoot into some water jugs and watch them explode:lewis:

100yds
6gr N110/52gr H4198
wool wad
Fed LRMP
smooth sized for medium loading pressure

3 shots on a cold clean bore with one primer fired before loading.

I had some 250gr Barnes TEZ's with me, so I used the same load combo except these were knurled from the package, no sizing. Fairly typical 1" group for the TEZ's

Pretty good shooting,, h shoots a little more accurate than imr for me, I'd like to see what that does to a water jug at a hundred yards

I've always had good luck with 240 gr XTP's (44 mags) in my Whitelighting, 65 grs (V) T7/fff Harvester green sabots. Shot all the XTP's now I'm using 240 gr Nosler's that shoot just as good on targets, haven't hunted with them yet.
